Highest Snowfall J&K,Srinagar


Snowfall happened in the higher scopes of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday while downpours lashed the fields, a Met authority said.
"Fresh snowfall has happened in Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Kargil and Drass today (Friday) while downpours lashed the fields in the state," Sonam Lotus, Executive of the state MET Office disclosed to IANS."Same climate conditions are probably going to keep amid the following 24 hours."Snowfall in the Zojila Pass has shut the Srinagar-Leh parkway while the Mughal Street interfacing the valley to the Jammu district has additionally been closed for traffic.Lotus said the base temperature was 5.5 degrees Celsius in Srinagar, 0.7 in Pahalgam, less 2 in Gulmarg, 2.9 in Leh and less 5.2 in Kargil.The least temperatures in the Jammu locale were: Jammu city 15.8 degrees Celsius, Bannihal 6.4, Batote 5.8, Katra 13 and Bhaderwah 5.6.
